WELCOME TO NOCCS
NOCCS (North Oakland Community Charter School) is a progressive, community-driven school serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
Tours for entering kindergarten students and transferring elementary student (1st through 5th) begin November 12th, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. and continue every Tuesday morning (9 a.m.) that school is in sessions through May 19th, 2020. NOCCS is a public charter school dedicated to helping children become thoughtful, informed, and inquisitive citizens.
In 2000, a diverse group of parents and educators began meeting in North Oakland to share a dream of starting a new school.
Those founders talked about how they could design a school that respected and nurtured young learners.
They developed NOCCS's 10 Core Principles, which are still at the heart of NOCCS today.
